Tenant Issues: (Anne & Tara)

  • Hazel Calder update
  • Margo McLean
  • Fortis A/C matter re: residents approval and installation of portable units (Margaret, Noella, Anneliese and Des)
  • Abell Pest Control – Tara has put in a service call to inspect suite #5 – will be notified once the guy comes to Kaslo again
  • Unit issues (drafts, cold air, metal stoppers, door sweeps & seals)

 

Staff:

  • New Maintenance person hired to replace Mike Moeller – references contacted for both – update

Old Business:

  • Asset Management Plan Assessment update(Anne & Phil?)
  • Society By-Laws update (Donna Gibbons)
  • Research related to grants for upgrades (Donna G)
  • Garbage/Recycling update
  • Update of Expansion Committee (Donna G & Donna C)
  • Shaw – renewal coming up in March. Tara to contact Shaw to inquire about getting locked into a new contract with increase
  • The Blindman – Yvonne & Tara have been in contact with him to advise to go ahead with replacing blinds (as indicated in quote) to complete the work in all units. Tara confirmed approved in his email with estimate
  • Senior Housing Livability Program – update
  • New contract from Moneywell (still waiting for Anthony & Annick to provide)
  • Donna C – update – tea with Tenants
  • Last meeting Donna Gibbons suggested delegating some Secretarial/Treasurer duties to assist Administrative Manager. The duty ideally to be reassigned at this time are the minutes of meetings

New Business:

  • New furniture being delivered for the common room on Feb 20th – Trust Housing allocation of funds being used. Chairs in common room were given first option to tenants, then to public
  • Funding approval provided for Generator – Prism Engineering (refer to emails from Trust Housing)
